Come and spend time with us in Nsanvu
A week or a few months, on your own or with a team. There's plenty to do at YAEC.
Why volunteer
Bring your skills to Nsanvu
We're a small school with big classes and not many resources. An extra pair of hands makes a real difference to our pupils and teachers.
Individual volunteers go through a short application. It helps us get to know you and work out where you'd fit best. We look at what the school needs right now alongside your interests, skills, work and missions experience.
Teachers, builders, coaches, nurses, IT people, farmers and students have all got something to share.
Ways to help
What volunteers do

Sports & creative
Coach football or netball, lead music, drama, or arts and crafts.
Volunteers in action
Our last team visit
In July 2025 a team of volunteers came to Nsanvu wearing “Glad to serve” T-shirts, and they meant it. They taught lessons, ran craft sessions with the youngest classes, shared ideas with our teachers and sang and danced with the pupils.
