Who we are
A Christian-founded school in Nsanvu village, built on the promise that all of God's promises are Yes and Amen.
Our story
Founded on faith, built for the village
Yes and Amen Education Centre was founded on July 5, 2007, by Mrs. Betty Nsungwa Byabakama, in response to the high number of children in Nsanvu village who could not access education due to poverty.
Starting with just a few nursery children, the school has grown to serve 136 learners from ages 3 to 12. Most of our students come from single-parent homes, poor families, or are orphans.
Like many rural villages, Nsanvu has a growing number of orphaned and vulnerable children. Poverty keeps even basic schooling out of reach for many families, and not everyone sees the point of educating children, especially girls. YAEC is here to change that.
Our foundation
“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so through him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God.”
2 Corinthians 1:20, the verse behind our name
Our vision
To build a generation that reflects God's heart of caring and loving.
Our mission
Integrating Christ-centered values into education.
Our motto
“If others can, we can.”
Our core values

Our objectives
What we're working towards
- 01 Promote primary, secondary and vocational education, with learning materials for orphans, vulnerable children, and their families.
- 02 Support the cultural, educational and social-economic development of children, youth, and their families.
- 03 Instill good moral values among children and youth.
- 04 Advocate against practices that endanger children's health and dignity, including early marriage and female genital mutilation.
- 05 Raise awareness on reproductive health and family life education, helping prevent early pregnancy and the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.
- 06 Provide psycho-social support to children affected by HIV/AIDS and other hardship.
- 07 Partner with like-minded organizations and mobilize resources to sustain and grow our work.
