Mealtime at YAEC: Every Gift Adds to the Pot

When the food is ready, the whole compound knows it. The children gather at the wooden serving tables under the trees, cups in hand, and wait their turn.

Many of our pupils come from homes where food is short, so what they eat at school matters. A hungry child finds it hard to sit still, let alone read or do sums.

How you can help

No gift is too small. Every donation, and every hour someone gives, adds to the pot. More food means fuller cups, and children who can pay attention in class.

You can give towards school meals by Mobile Money or send us a pledge. We're also raising money to build a better kitchen, so the food can be cooked somewhere cleaner and less smoky.

To everyone who has helped fill those cups, thank you.
