Take a Walk Around Our School
October 2025
Not everyone can come to Nsanvu, so we took the camera for a walk. Here's what you'd see if you visited.
Through the gate
You come in through the arched gate with our sign beside it. Straight away you'll see the playground with its swings and the fence painted with numbers and letters.
The compound
At break time the compound fills up. Children run between the classrooms, play on the grass and sit in the shade of the verandah.
The painted walls
Walk along the verandah and the walls are covered in hand-painted maps and diagrams: the map of Uganda, the human skeleton, the inside of a maize fruit. Our teachers use them in lessons every day.
Inside
The nursery classroom is full of colour, with small chairs for small children and pictures on every wall. Along the way is our computer room, where more than 60 pupils share two laptops and one desktop.
If you'd like to see it for real, we'd love to welcome you. Have a look at our volunteer page or get in touch.
