Computer Class: Two Laptops and Sixty Learners

Here's a number that says a lot about YAEC: we have two laptops and one desktop computer, and more than 60 pupils use them every week.

Once a week, each class gets its turn at basic computer lessons. It takes careful planning and a lot of sharing. But even in a village 40 km from Kampala, children need to know how to use a computer, and we want ours to have that chance.

We'd love every pupil to get more time on a keyboard. One of our current needs is five more laptops or tablets, which would let each child practise far more often. If you or your organisation has used devices to give, or would like to help us buy new ones, please get in touch.
