Pencils Out: A Morning of Learning at YAEC

People often ask what a normal school day looks like at YAEC, so we took the camera round one morning.

In the nursery class

Our youngest pupils sit on their little red chairs with books on their knees, working through their writing practice while the teacher moves round the room.

Outside by the painted walls

Some of the older pupils took their books outside and sat along the edge of the verandah, under the murals of Uganda's national emblem and flag.

Working together

At one of the tables, a group of friends worked side by side with their heads down.
